What types of thermal transfer ribbons do Internet Labels supply?
Internet Labels supply all types of ribbons for thermal transfer printers including Armor and Inkanto ribbons;
Inside wound or Outside wound Wax Ribbons (Armor's AWR8 Ribbons)
Wax ribbons are suitable for general purpose labelling, shipping labels, address labels, warehouse applications, compliance label printing and much more. Wax ribbons are suited to printing both semi-gloss and matt labels that will not face high levels of abrasion or physical contact with the printed face. Wax offers the most economical option of the three grades available, and as wax is a softer material with a lower melting point than resin materials, printing requires a lower heat setting on your printer, extending both the life of the expensive printhead and reducing the energy consumption of your printer.
Inside wound or Outside wound Wax/Resin Ribbons (Armor's APR6 Ribbons)
Wax/Resin ribbons can be used to print on both glossy and smooth surfaces and, owing to the harder nature of the resin in the ink, can also overprint synthetic materials making them ideal for general purpose printing that will be subject to a higher level of friction or potential for scratching. This also offers an increase in chemical resistance. Wax/Resin ribbons are slightly more expensive than wax ribbons owing to their broader range of operation. Internet Labels can supply both outside wound and inside wound wax/resin (Armor's Inkanto APR6) ribbons within a couple of working days, please send us a quote request.
Toshiba / TEC compatible (near edge) Outside wound Wax/Resin Ribbons (Armor's APR600 Ribbons)
Near edge wax/resin ribbons (Armor's APR600) are suitable for both near edge and corner edge label printers. Wax/Resin (APR600) ribbons can be used to print on both labels and flexible packaging. Available for next day delivery.
Inside wound or Outside wound Resin Ribbons (Armor's AXR7+ Ribbons)
Resin ribbons contain the highest level of resin. They present a very high resistance to chemicals, heat, abrasion and other extreme environmental conditions. Resin Ribbons are most suited to printing high gloss coated materials like polyesters, polyolefins, destructible vinyl, warranty void labels and labels which are exposed to harsh environments like chemical, medical and pharmaceutical labelling, as well as industrial and automotive applications. Resin ribbons require your printer to operate at a higher temperature due to the harder nature of the resin and are not suitable for overprinting paper labels. Whilst we don't keep any resin ribbons on the shelf, we can supply both outside wound and inside wound versions within a couple of working days so please send us a quote request.
